Space Clearing is the specialized branch of Feng Shui I've pioneered and developed since 1976. It's a powerful ceremony designed to clear and consecrate energies in buildings.

I intentionally made it all sound very easy in my book, Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui, because the most important thing at that time was to make the basic skills easily accessible to everyone. The time was right to teach this information to the world and because of that, the book became an overnight international bestseller. That book and the Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui book I wrote the following year, have now sold over 2 million copies and been translated into 24 languages.

There is a huge between the level of Space Clearing described in my books and the skills that need to be developed to be a professional Space Clearing practitioner. A great deal of personal work has to be done to clear your own energy, maintain that level of clarity, cultivate higher spiritual connections and master advanced Space Clearing skills. This training calls for people of a very high calibre, who have already done many years of personal development and are committed to their own spiritual development.

I've been running professional training courses since 1997 and offer the highest standard of Space Clearing practitioner training available anywhere in the world. All the practitioners I train continue to take courses with me after registration in order to maintain their skills at a high standard. Their names appear in the directory of registered practitioners on this website and each of them has their own webpage too.

Read on to discover the specific background skills and qualities that are required to train as a Space Clearing practitioner.

basic requirements for applicants

Space Clearing works beautifully in conjunction with other branches of Feng Shui and yet it is not necessary to know any Feng Shui to become a space clearer. The two trainings are very different and it certainly is not the case that someone who has studied Feng Shui will necessarily have a greater natural aptitude for Space Clearing than someone who has not. To explain this further, it's my perception that Feng Shui masters of old were indeed great masters of the energy worlds, but this can certainly not be said of most Feng Shui practitioners today. The remnants of Feng Shui that are commonly practised now are only what remains of the knowledge that was recorded before those skills and levels of spiritual connections were lost.

The basic requirements for applicants have changed over the years as my work has evolved. The current list of requirements is as follows:

personal development work

The most important prerequisite is to have done enough personal work to develop the subtle body structures, level of perception and degree of etheric awakening that are foundational to the practitioner training.

The Clairvision School is an advanced school of meditation, founded by Dr Samuel Sagan. I first discovered it in 1999 and have found that by requiring all my trainees and practitioners to read the Clairvision material, attend courses, practice the Clairvision style of meditation, do ISIS (Inner Space Interactive Sourcing) and adopt the excellent Language to Map Consciousness developed by the School, I can teach professional level Space Clearing at a very much higher level now than was ever possible before. The two streams are now so interwoven that my professional training is now only offered to people who have a solid background in Clairvision teachings.

The following books by Dr Samuel Sagan are required reading for all Space Clearing trainees and highly recommended for all spiritual seekers.

• Entities: Freeing the Energy Body of Negative Influences (in the USA the title of this book is Entity Possession)
• Atlantean Secrets (4 volumes)

The books can be purchased from book stores or from my online stores located in the USA, UK/Europe and Australasia. The Clairvision School also has a substantial body of study material in the form of Knowledge Tracks.

Please note that the Clairvision School does not teach the usual New Age nonsense that is often associated with Atlantis, past-life therapy, entity clearing, and so on, and strongly dissociates itself from anyone who does. Theirs is a serious, well-researched body of work that I have scrutinized in depth and that students can verify for themselves.

It is also vital you become aware of the emotional samskaras that are running your life and do personal work to resolve them. Without this you cannot hope to access higher realms with clarity or do professional level Space Clearing safely or effectively. ISIS (Inner Space Interactive Sourcing developed by the Clairvision School) is by far the best method I know of doing this.

It is a requirement that all trainees have done several years of Clairvision courses and ISIS intensives before applying for my Space Clearing practitioner training. You will not be able to understand my course or develop the skills without this background. However please do NOT take ISIS or Clairvision courses just because you want to apply for my training. This won't work at all. Only do so if you are seriously interested in taking the courses offered by the Clairvision School regardless of whether or not you subsequently take the Space Clearing practitioner training.

other prerequisites

• To have read my books (Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui and Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui)
• To have a very high level of personal integrity (absolutely vital for this work).
• To be fit and healthy, and to take regular exercise in a form that you enjoy, including hatha yoga on a daily basis. The training is not suitable for people who are excessively over- or under-weight.
• To have well developed self-esteem, personal charisma and counselling skills, so that others feel safe with you and confident about you.
• To have well-balanced sexual/creative energy. You will find it impractical to do this training if you have long-standing sexual issues or blockages you are still working with.
• To have a natural, compassionate rapport with people, animals and places.
• To have regular body purification programmes such as colon cleansing, fasting, and so on. Your body needs to be physically clear in order to remain energetically clear.
• To be committed to releasing the need for suppressants such as alcohol, caffeine, sugar, chocolate, over-eating, etc, and to have long since overcome any obsessive behaviour patterns such as gambling, compulsive shopping, dysfunctional codependent relationships, and so on. This will enable you to maintain the necessary sensitivities to do this work.
• To have a private email address and be able to type and use the internet. In fact it would be best if you genuinely enjoy using email and the internet because you'll be doing a lot of it in this training and after registration as a practitioner.

Note: If you have taken any hard drugs within the last five years (recreational as well as addictive prescription drugs) or have used marijuana within the last year, it can be dangerous to do Space Clearing at professional level so please do not apply for this training.

With these prerequisites in place and being regularly maintained, I can teach you the skills that are specific to Space Clearing. In addition, I require the following three commitments from each trainee:

1. To maintain total clarity in your relationship with me and other members of the group. This includes not complaining about other people - if you have anything you need to clear, clear it with the person concerned.
2. To make your own arrangements to see any support therapists you may need as part of your ongoing personal development journey. This is not a process training, so the focus will be on teaching you the skills to do professional Space Clearing.
3. To be committed to your own spiritual journey for the sake of the journey itself, not because you want to acquire a qualification.

In many ways the qualities I am looking for in trainees go beyond what words can convey, so if you feel you have a calling to do this work, even though you have not yet met all the requirements, please feel free to apply anyway. I will look at each application on its own merits.

clutter clearing practitioner training

The level at which I train Clutter Clearing practitioners requires the ability to discern the underlying reasons why clutter accumulates in the first place. I see no value in helping people to get organized, only to have the same problem recur six months later. Training at this level therefore requires a serious amount of spiritual development work first to create specific structures in your subtle bodies to be able do this.

Originally I intended to teach separate trainings for Clutter Clearing practitioners but have now abandoned this idea as impractical. Instead I include the information in my Space Clearing practitioner training. Registration as a Space Clearing practitioner automatically results in registration as a Clutter Clearing practitioner too.

the next space clearing practitioner training

The next training is planned for April or May 2011 (not October 2010 - the date has had to be changed). It will be led by me and my husband, Richard, and will be for a maximum of 20 trainees. It is open to people who have maintained a daily Clairvision-style meditation practice and regularly participated in Clairvision intensives for at least three years. The training is already half full, and most of the participants have been doing Clairvision work for 5 years or more, making it the most advanced Space Clearing practitioner training group to date.

The training will consist of:

PART ONE: An initial 12-day training (in April or May 2011, probably in California, USA, if a suitable venue can be found)
PART TWO: 6 months of case studies that are conducted via email and Skype
PART THREE: A 7-day training to polish Space Clearing skills (in October or November 2011, probably also in California, USA)
PART FOUR: A maximum of 3 more months of case studies conducted via email and Skype

The dates, location and cost of the training will be announced through my Space Clearing newsletters when confirmed.

Note that attending an Art of Space Clearing course before applying for the practitioner training used to be a prerequisite. It is no longer required because all the information will now be included in the PART ONE training.
