Space Clearing Temple Fund

Every word I've ever written in a book, blog or media article, and every word I've ever spoken in a talk, workshop, training course, interview or media appearance has all been towards one end - to teach people in the modern world how to restore integrity to the buildings that we occupy.

My books are the legacy I will leave to the next generation but more than this, I hope to have trained enough practitioners and teachers to a high enough level to be able to continue the dissemination and development of my work. As the human race relentlessly destroys our beautiful planet in pursuit of materialism and self-gain, we slip further and further away from the spiritual values that give life meaning. Space Clearing is specifically designed to counteract this by clearing, revitalizing and spiritualizing the places we occupy. One building at a time, it does make a difference.

For 20 years I lived in Bali, immersing myself in its unique spiritual culture where Space Clearing is a complete way of life. I learned so much and will always treasure the experience. But now it's time to be back in the West where I can meet and mix with many more people, so in 2010 my husband and I moved to the UK to begin anew.

In Bali, the royalties from my book sales and earnings from the workshops I taught around the world enabled me to build a beautiful hotel and conference centre (see photo) where I taught many workshops and trainings. In the UK, I find that the money I received from selling that property is only enough to buy a modest house. So the challenge to raise funds to build a teaching venue begins all over again.

I'm in my 50s now. I’m fit, in good health, with all my faculties intact. I figure I have a good few years left to write new books and develop more advanced levels of my work. But without a place to do it in, my progress is much, much slower than it could be.

Those of you who have attended my workshops in western countries will know that my speciality is creating sacred spaces in ordinary meeting rooms. As one workshop participant wrote, "The high level energies were unbelievable. I went into another room at the venue to see what that was like and the difference was incredible. I don't know how Karen creates such a sacred space in such an ordinary room but she does."

My aim is to create a permanent place where these energies can build, year after year, instead of having to be recreated each time and then left to dissipate. The workshops and trainings I could teach in such a place would be at a whole new level.

With the exception of the Bali Mandala meeting room I designed and built myself in Bali, everywhere in the world that I have taught my courses I have had to spend countless weeks looking for a suitable venue and a great deal of time preparing the room in order to give participants the experience of sacred space they come for. I’ve always done it willingly and with a good heart but frankly, it’s not the best use of my time, and not the greatest giving I can give. I was able to do far more, and give far more, when I had my own venue in Bali.

My husband and I have been on a mission since 2010 to explore the land energies here in the UK to find the most compatible location. The favourite so far is the Cotswolds, located two hours west of London and an hour from Heathrow Airport, making it easily accessible to students arriving from all over the world. Officially designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it contains many large properties that would be suitable.
